![]() 22lr subsonic out of the AR with conversion kit. I also want to play with different bullets in the 69+ gr range.Ī heavier projectile version of the 22lr out of and AR that doesn't require a conversion kit, different magazine and the issues associated with 22lr fouling AR and can. I'd like to get it down to and average of 1050 fps (true subsonic level) with a SD of 10 so I am going to play with the powder and start working down in 2/10 increments. I have no idea on what it's max effective range would be but I'd say 200 yards would be a safe bet. Primer crack is less because of bolt staying closed. About as loud as subsonic 22LR out of the AR w/can. These will not cycle the bolt (so single shot and manual rack) I shot these out of a AR15 w/ 1-7 twist 10.5" barrel / AAC can (these would be excellent on a suppressed bolt action. 223 subsonic.ĥ.2gr Trail Boss (fills case nicely - does not meter to well though *donut shaped powder) This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases. ![]() Apparently not content with good enough, they’re now working on barrels designed specifically for subsonic. 223 that’s said to cycle standard AR-15/M-16 actions without modification. For best accuracy and results use within 25 Yards/Meters and in rifles with 1 in 7 or faster twist rates. 223 and 9mm projectiles, including 110 grain subsonic. The gun kind of rattles a bit when it goes off. It works, doesn’t cycle the rifle but it’s quiet. I tried 3.1 grains of Titegroup under a Nosler 69. 223: I looked on the Hogden site and found a subsonic load: 3.1 grains of Titegroup and a 55 grain bullet. Not sure on specs or what they changed, but I do know they had modified it well out of normal specs. Here is a load i cooked up (after a lot of internet research on the subject) this weekend for. Atomic’s 5.56 Tactical Cycling Subsonic ammunition is designed for close range tactical use, not long range match or hunting. Blackfork is trying to develop subsonic loads for his. Going to keep SuperSonic loads for it hunting Yotes and hogs. I currently use 65gr SGK in my coyote 223 20' 1:8 suppressed YHM Can and it is still loud 2,800+fps. I think it would be grossly overgassed with normal ammo, probably beating itself up a bit. Trying to get something a little quieter for my 223/5.56 SBR. But the entire gas system on that Beck gun was highly modified so it would cycle the subsonic ammo. What I do with a new one is clean all lube off the outside of the bolt and the inside of the receiver and shoot a box or two of bulk pack ammo. The interior of the receiver is painted, and as it wears in from the bolt travel, the amount of friction increases and then decreases. Considering the stuff was pellet gun quiet, I will assume it is subsonic. A 10/22 will cycle subsonic well once its broken in. These barrels obviously have tight twist rates for the heavier, slower bullets and, from the sounds of it, perhaps a longer throat to clear larger projectiles and maybe a modified gas port (although it doesn’t look vastly oversized in the photos and, if the ammo really cycles a standard AR, it wouldn’t have to be oversized). Re: subsonic 223 that cycles It is new to me. One thing I did notice is that Allegiance claims their subsonic ammo runs a totally standard AR-15. But there’s no reason these Allegiance ones wouldn’t also work with normal ammo, and the text of their press release makes that pretty clear: “Coming soon the Allegiance subsonic barrel designed for subsonic and supersonic ammunition.” I’ve shot those Beck guns myself (video of the subsonic: ). 223 55GR FMJ SUBSONIC (MANUAL CYCLING ACTION ONLY) 50 ROUNDS 29.99 Out of stock Email when stock available I Agree to the terms and privacy policy SKU: 22355fmjsub50 Categories: 223 / 5. .223 SubSonic 5.56mm CYCLING SUBSONIC 75GR JHP - SHORT BARREL LOAD 5.56mm CYCLING SUBSONIC 75GR JHP - SHORT BARREL LOAD Availability: Out Of Stock 27.95 Quantity Out Of Stock Description 5.
